I always love what you have to say on these matters. And yay for #9. I can't tell you how often I have this conversation:

Person: We need more people of color in this organization.
Me: Why? Why do we need more people of color?
Person: Because I feel more comfortable around people of color.
Me: So people of color need to come here to make you more comfortable? Why not go to them?
Person: I don't want to intrude. I'd feel uncomfortable.
Me: Not nearly as uncomfortable as if people of color actually showed up and wanted some say in the organization.
