I read an old review of an old story of mine that said the setting owed a lot to Jurassic Park.
This always amuses me, b/c I've never seen Jurassic Park.
(I am not disputing the ability of texts to be so influential that one can be influenced by their derivatives, btw. I think it was mostly the island setting -- coincidence, but hi reader response theory!)
