My Children Are Already Geeks

The ladies' current top interests include but are not limited to:

Frogs, bugs, dinosaurs, snakes, robots, elephants...and sports that are played with balls.

Also, I should never have allowed them to choose their own clothes when getting dressed, as this apparently now consists of me showing Simone every single shirt and/or dress in the closet and having her say "no" until she suddenly changes her mind and makes me go back to some item previously discarded.

I'll tell you soon about their turn on the mic at cindymonkey's birthday party yesterday, too.

Food Notes

1. Shucking clams was a little more epic than I anticipated, but I got pretty good at it by the end. Then they went into chowder. Next time, though, I am eating 'em steamed whole.

2. What I ate on the pizza: fresh diced tomatoes and basil tossed with a little olive oil, plus cubes of chevre.

3. I went a little overboard on the fruit buying yesterday. I have apples, nectarines, peaches, blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, and Asian pears on hand now. Plus some bananas, a melon, and a small bowl full of diced mango.
