Hippie Parent Cred: Zero

I just fed the girls ice cream for dinner.

Oh, you're far from the first. If you've never seen the Bill Cosby Chocolate Cake monologue, go now! I still walk around singing "Dad is great . . ." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRmN4KnfPxQ

I grew up with that routine :)

Whatever. It has protein.

When I was a kid, I had friends whose parents occasionally proclaimed it Ice Cream For Dinner And Early To Bed Night. Kids got ice cream for dinner at half-past six and went directly to their rooms thereafter, with instructions to brush their teeth, play or read quietly, and lights out at their regular bedtimes.

As a kid, I thought this was brilliant. As a parent, I think it even more brilliant. ::grin::

...as long as it didn't have (gasp!) "corn sugar", we won't take away your Hippie cred.

What, no cake and cake?

Does brownie and brownie for breakfast count?

Nature's perfect food, an excellent thing for children to eat for dinner.
