My Weekend, Part 3

The wedding was fun in the exactly perfect low-key sort of way, the weather was gorgeous, and it was good to see the old platoon again.

Part I

This morning, I was waiting for the Transbay bus once again. This time, I had a companion in waiting. He had a limp, and English was not his first language. (I suspect, but cannot confirm, that he was Cuban. Definitely some flavor of Latino, at least.) He made mild, friendly, non-harassing conversation, about the bus taking a long time, and the weather. And then after a pause, he smiled shyly and asked,

"Are you a girl?"

There was something about the complete up-frontness of the question, the guilessness I guess, that charmed me.

I could also see why he had to ask. My hair is in its overgrown phase, but my black overcoat can be a magical thing.

Part II

In honor of that moment this morning, I think it's time for another round of:

Name My Gender!

Give me a label, preprinted or homemade, and then justify your answer.

Work QOTD: "It's a dance. It might be a mosh pit, but it's still a dance."

I think my gender might be "mosh pit." (No, not that Moshpit.)
