Thanks to debbieann and nadyalec, I have found a
workable run-around to get to read my friend's page again. Hi, everyone!
It's only been a week, but I've missed you! I still don't think I can
comment until I get home, but at least I'm not blind any more.

you pretty much send a red flag that you will be monitored.

It's a gamble I'm willing to take. For one thing, I don't think they're actively monitoring web usage (they don't have the staff!). For another thing, I don't think the filters are their idea -- I think they're imposed by our contractor. So I don't think they're as inclined to actively (as opposed to passively) enforce anything as they otherwise might be.
