A note on smut:

90+% of BDSM-themed fiction falls into two categories: "scene reports," which run "I did this and then I did this and then I did this..." and "transcribed fantasies, which also run "I imagine doing this, and then this, and then this..."

Both types lack even a smidgen of plot tension. This makes them terribly, terribly dull. Even to perverts.

Also, I've found that much BD and DS themed smut is incorrectly labeled SM smut, which is a huge disappointment to consumers. The kind of smut I want to read apparently is not out there. Do you have any advice for a budding young author?
