pantryslut: (she tried to be good)

That great conversation I had the other day about sex writing and sexual vocabulary with the very nice journalist for Oakland Local has culminated in this blog post. I think I managed to get my ideas across pretty well. I am also quite pleased to be in the quoted company of the always-sharp Juba Kalamka here. Extra points to the writer, Sara Kassabian, for not making me sound as crazily radical as I really did turn out to be during the interview--by at the end I was ranting not only about feminism and heterosexism and all of that good stuff but sexuality and social control in general, and I really meant it, too. I seriously got in touch with Why I Still Write About Sex during our chat--and why I write about it in the way I do, and how, and etcetera. I kinda wish I'd been taping myself.
