when i was whatever age it was where nixon ran against mcgovern, some large kid stood at the door of my classroom at school and asked who we would vote for, and i quickly discerned that if you said mcgovern, you were in trouble, so i said nixon. so maybe all your classmates were voting for nixon and you wanted to fit in?
