I got to see one of my favorite Tough Girls contributors, Elspeth Potter, down in the lobby on the last day. It was nice to be able to spend a few minutes with her outside of the context of an event, like a reading, and talk shop. I wish I'd run into her earlier in the con.
And, I spent Sunday evening at the Wyrdsmiths party coloring in an X-Men coloring book with magic markers. (I hate crayons.) I had lots of fun streaking this gal's hair. Due to the drawing style, we couldn't tell who exactly this gal was -- I think, after much examination, she turned out to be Rogue. But I colored her hair red, as if she were Phoenix. With blonde and brown streaks to lend it an extra-fiery appearance.
Every con party should have coloring books. The Tor party especially -- I recommend line drawings of their cover art. That way, if the party is too damn loud to talk, we can hunker down with our markers and crayons (and beer).
