How My Day Is Going

1. Late to work due to public transportation snafu. Nobody notices.

2. Grab breakfast from the grub truck parked out front when I arrive. Five minutes later, it departs. The vaunted cafeteria here is non-functional, as I expected.

3. All my stuff made it, but I have no network connection. Unpack, then commandeer out-of-town co-worker's computer.

4. Can't get onto IM or e-mail.

5. Am leaving in half an hour anyway to get my teeth manipulated. I have tomorrow off as well, for minor oral surgery.

I spent approximately six hours today either on public transit, or waiting for it.

ETA: And on five different systems: Caltrain, VTA, MUNI, BART, and AC Transit. Whew!
