The Honeymoon Is Over

April and Simone are somewhat notorious for being excited about going to the doctor, dentist and hospital. They think it's a fun trip. There are toys and lollipops and you can see BART out of the exam room windows,plus you get to play silly games like standing on the scale and listening to sounds with the headphones. They like to tell me that they have a little cough or sore throat, or their ankle hurts a little, and so they simply must go to the doctor and get some medicine. The fact that they're pretty healthy kids overall (knock wood) just makes this all the more entertaining.

After getting three shots today (DTaP, polio, flu), my children told me they don't want to go back to the doctor ever again.
