A new parent at a summer playdate this morning ASKED ME WHAT MY PREFERRED PRONOUN IS. I'm so tickled! I told him "she" is fine, and also yes "Mama Lori" is OK. The summer haircut helped, I'm sure, but I'm also sure that nobody in Parentlandia has ever asked me that before.
