So, what did you think of the opening slate of games today?

Well, we had one fun match-up -- West Virginia/Creighton. How about that? But the game I really wanted to watch was the Illinois game, and instead I got stuck with UCLA and Bobby Knight. And now I'm still stuck with Bobby Knight.

OTOH, Michigan State advanced tonight, and Kansas and Stanford lost, so overall, it's a pretty promising tournament so far.

I'm hoping Gonzaga can advance to the final four. Not because I'm a Jesuit or anything, but they've been working so hard to be taken seriously by the NCAA powers it would be nice to see them succeed more than they have in the past.

Plus I just like the sound of their name. Gon-ZA-ga.
