I have that restless wardrobe makeover urge again. I keep wanting to buy shoes and clothes. I am resisting, but it's hard. What I really want to do, of course, is have someone tell me exactly what I'd look good in, have it be exactly right ("oh! now that you mention it, I totally agree with you!"), have it pinpoint exactly my difficult gender expression(s), come in sizes that fit me, and be fun and playful, and affordable too, and that way I won't have to do any work, just pony up for the bill. I want a free personal stylist, in other words. I want my Hollywood moment.

Some of this, btw, comes from looking at all the very cute women at the play party on Saturday. usually, women's play party fashion is so subdued. Not this time!

In the meantime, I think I will contemplate sale shoes and custom bras.

I feel the same way. Well, minus the custom bras thing.

Shoot, that's right -- you were there. And I missed you! (I was one of the couple who got "rained out" with the leak into the downstairs bedroom, and after that, we wrapped up and left early. And I was on the door from 7:45 to 9 or so. Didn't socialize much. Pity.)

Also, yes. I want to do a wardrobe makeover. I NEED to do a wardrobe consolidation. A month's worth (with MY schedule) of laundry plus some diligent sorting, and then maybe I can stop by a thrift store or two and get some black work pants that FIT. Argh.

And I dream of custom bras.

After my wardrobe malfunction of Friday night, I realized that I need new (and bigger) shirts myself.

Hm. I wonder if that style of shirt would look good on me. Usually I avoid button-downs b/c my chest is so large that they gap, but those might hang differently. Where did you get them?

If you find her, can I borrow her? I have the same wishlist.

With my recent job change, I gave some thought to a major makeover of my look, which tends toward jeans 'n t-shirts. I was thinking of the leggings/short skirt/long top look - I worse some clothes like that for a while in the mid-90s.

I never did act on it, but this past weekend, I took a favorite pair of We Be Bop pants to a seamstress to be duplicated. The original is black and the first copy is black, but if I like her work, I am going to buy ALL KINDS of great fabric at Stonemountain & Daughter to be made into cool pants.
