OK, so, the weekend:

1. You may have noticed there was a big sporting event this weekend? I watched it. I liked it. I ended up with a very tiny rooting interest that turned out just right. Yes, I have a man-crush on Plaxico Burress. We're fellow alumni, that means we're practically related. Also, I like big men who cry. Big men with odd family names, yo.

2. I messed up the chocolate fondue. In a really interesting way. (Do not use unsweetened chocolate.) I guess I will just have to try again. If I start succeeding, though, I might even have to invest in a fondue pot or two. Maybe. Eventually.

3. I had lots of good company this weekend, up to and including unexpected path-crossings. Hello, hello, thank you, thank you.

4. No feminist exegesis of The Face Behind The Mask is forthcoming, only mad love for Peter Lorre.

I rooted for the Packers the whole time. Every time anyone cheered or booed, I shouted "Go Pack!" or "the Pack is Back!" or "Cheese!"

I love the name Plaxico. I remember him from when he was with the Steelers his rookie year and there was an MTV True Life special on him. Sometimes, I just say his name three times, to make myself smile.

Also, it was a good game.
