Teh Weekend Update

pantryslutFriday: Double Burlesque! G. and I went first to RedHots Burlesque's Cramps Tribute Show at El Rio, then to the Hubba Hubba Revue at the DNA Lounge. Loved them both, although as noted elsewhere, the band at HHR was pretty bad. On the other hand, the DJ finally played music we could dance to during the intermissions, so that was nice.
It was also great to see several friends out who I haven't seen in a while. Hi! Hi! Good to see you! Hi! Let's do this again!
Man, my feet hurt at the end of the night, though. I need some better dancing shoes. Also, I get dizzy (I think this is a pregnancy/low blood pressure thing).
The rest of the weekend was *supposed* to be relaxing. I ran some errands on Saturday -- sold some porn, picked up some maternity clothes from![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
crayonbeam, and did a little shopping at the Middle Eastern grocery in the Sunset (and a little cozy lunch with imnotandrei down the street). Came home to find G. and his niece hanging out on the back porch, and whiled away much of the rest of the early evening in their very pleasant company.
Went to bed. Someone hits G.'s car, parked out on the street in front of the house, and the car parked in front of it, too. Nobody is hurt (including the driver), thankfully. But the cars, none of them are happy.
G. spends most of Sunday dealing with the fallout from the accident. He takes a break to fire up the grill in the afternoon. Then he heads off to pick up his rental car, and I get some writing done, which is nice. A moment to remember that this was supposed to be a quiet weekend.
