Thank goodness for the invention of the optical mouse. Now the fact that my mouse pad is covered in cat hair won't clog the works.

(Fritzi has taken to napping on that corner of my desk.)

cattitude, who has an optical trackball, says that doesn't actually work: the cat hair gets into the recessed bits where the sensors are.
