First day of work, though not for me.
Feb. 11th, 2004 12:10 pmSteven has gone off for his first day of work, after a year and a half of unemloyment.
That's a year and a half of hanging around the house with me, the work-at-home person. Amazingly, we not only survived, but thrived.
Now I have to remember to do things for myself -- not only things like "go to the post office," but things like "feed myself breakfast." And lunch.
And boy, the house is quiet. The cats have chosen to sleep in this afternoon rather than pester me to play with them. I think the stereo is going to get a workout in these next few adjustment weeks. I find myself compelled to listen in on the dialogue in the parking lot well below my office window: "I'll pay extra, I'll pay extra!"

Date: 2004-02-11 11:44 pm (UTC)Feel free to call me. I've got some time on Tues/Thurs mornings to come and be loud under your window or make obscene gestures and such.
I hope the transition goes smoothly.
