The Decade in Review

My thirties have been very eventful. And I liked them an awful lot more than my twenties, I'll tell you what (although my late twenties aren't anything to sniff at).
In roughly chronological order:
* I bought half a house at the end of 2000. That turned out to be a mistake, she said understatedly.
* I moved to Oakland in 2003 and fell in love with the city -- I cannot express how much Oakland has become home for me. Within weeks, I meet a nice man named G. and we start dating.
* I edited and published two anthologies of erotic stories.
* I went to New York for the first time, in the fall of 2001, to promote the books. It was a week after the planes started flying again, and just in time for Halloween and Election Day.
* I was nominated for a Lambda Literary Award and returned to NYC in the spring of 2002.
* I went back to work full-time and stuck with it, too.
* I published a story in Asimov's.
* I published a story in Strange Horizons, too.
* Having attended WisCon for a few years, I get sucked into the ConCom, first as the writer's retreat admin, and then as the Programming Co-Chair.
* I wrote a music column for Girlfriends, reviewed a lot of porn for AVN, and did a lot of writing on sex and other subjects for Curve, YesPortal.com, and a bunch of other places.
* I ran a little site called Storymistress for a while, too, and boy did I learn a lot about web sites that way. And also design.
* I also published two issues of a funky little zine called Problem Child.
* I ran two very successful sex party series, and co-curated a very successful spoken-word series. The sex parties are defunct, but Perverts Put Out! is still going strong.
* I form a three-adult household with both my partners, thankful that I had never officially sworn never to live with anybody besides Steven again after the demise of my last multi-person household. We find a really fabulous flat in the Grand Lake neighborhood below a friendly, eccentric, and house-proud landlord.
* My first cat, Morgan, died. She is a tremendous cat and still much missed.
* We adopted Old Man Coaltrain a few months later.
* I had another erotic anthology swallowed by the demise of Haworth Press.
* After a year and change of trying, I get pregnant with twins, battle high blood pressure for the final trimester, give birth by C-section, and quit my job to take care of them.
Whew! Did I miss anything? Add it in the comments :)
