(lack of parallelism is to be blamed upon the source material; I did a lot of cut'n'paste.)
Men
I did not need to take the attraction.match.com test to learn that I like:
* Unique, larger sized noses
* Glasses and the sophisticated and smart look that goes with them
* Bald or shaved heads on a sexy guy
* You appreciate someone with a few extra pounds
But it's amusing to discover that:
*Sometimes, you like younger men, by a good gap
*Very attractive Black/African descent men
*Very attractive Hispanic or Latino men
*Lean men with pointed chins, rather than the square-shaped chins most like
*Thin, angular faces with a classic or refined look
They claim, however, that I don't like facial hair. Those of you who know
imnotandrei may now commence laughing. In the pair of photos they displayed, too, the facial hair version was much cuter.
P.S. I didn't pick any blondes.
Women
Once again, I didn't need the test to learn that:
* You appreciate someone with a few extra pounds
* Glasses and the sophisticated and smart look that goes with them
But I did learn that I apparently like:
* Very attractive Hispanic or Latino women
* Thin, angular faces with a classic or refined look
* Long hair
They noted that I especially seem to like "Mediterranean women" (to go along with my penchant for Mediterranean food, I suppose -- been fetishizing those cookbook author photos, maybe?).
I found the "women" section less enlightening and amusing than the "men" section, to be honest. I actually took the girl-version test twice and ended up with very different results, which I think just means I think girls are pretty and I like clicking on their faces.
But the guys...ever since I hooked up with G., who is similar in interesting ways (not just physically) to
imnotandrei, I've been joking that I clearly have a "type."
Apparently, I was not joking after all. Heh.
I'm having a really hard time reconciling my supposed liking for "lean men with pointed chins" and "thin, angular faces" with my preference for "rugged, masculine" men with stocky bodies, though. I think that this and similar contradictions should be referred to as the Secret Slut Index -- i.e., I'll do her. Him, too.

Actually, I do have a type, and they got rather close to that, but it's just my blondness fetishism that's talking.
