pantryslut1. Simone was beatboxing over breakfast this morning. I kid you not.
2. I don't write about everything I cook here, obviously. Sometimes it's not particularly noteworthy for any reason--something I've made a zillion times before and turned out exactly as anticipated, usually. Tonight, however, I made a black bean soup with apples (that's what those black beans were for), and I'm very pleased with the results. I forgot to make the greens to go with, though. We had cornbread instead.
3. My landlord e-mailed us this evening to suggest we check out the big-ass spider living below our bathroom window before he relocates it. I think we chose our housing situation well.
