Things I Have Learned Today

2. I am a "wild talent."

3. I am included in an ebook by the publisher Xcite called Sticky Notes. There's only one problem -- I never submitted a story to this editor or publisher [ETA: a-ha, yes I did, via Carol Queen and Five Minute Fantasies. So it looks like they're repackaging previously bought content. Could be shady, could be legit, depending on what my contract says...][ETA2: No, wait, I sold "Cocksucker" to More Five Minute Erotica, from Running Press. Five Minute Fantasies 3 is a different book, ed. Carthryn Cooper, UK only, and, er, how did they get my story? Hmm...]. And also? They appear to have inserted the phrase "fake dildo-dick" into the copy, and I swear unto everything holy that I would never, ever, ever write that phrase. I am a little miffed, and also unsure how to proceed.

k.d. lang fans hate me b/c I do not gush uncritically over their "demigoddess." (Uh, hello, I was a music...critic?) This makes everything I say a back-handed compliment at best and a dueling offense at worst (except when I referred to her voice as sounding like "rich, dark chocolate," which was apparently OK).

Whoa! I am looking to see if I am in that book, too -- I think we're both in 5 Min Erotica #2. (Is that what they repackaged as Sticky Notes/5 Min Fantasies?) I will be miffed if my stuff is in their w/o a contract!
