Apr. 11th, 2011 11:34 pmI had the luck to be the one sitting next to The Drunk Guy who apparently just wandered in off the street out of curiosity at Sins Invalid last night. I also ended up the one he wanted to "apologize" to (of the "I'm sorry I was getting into it" type) when three or four of us turned around to shush him after he spent the first half talking back to the show's performers. I'm sure he thought it should be OK because, as noted, he was getting into it and felt moved and was making positive remarks and all--many of them centered around the female perfomers' bodies. I actually had to pull a "talk to the hand" gesture after the second time he tried to aggressively explain himself to me. But he left at intermission.
And I've left out the part where he tried to chat up the woman on the other side of him, bought her some wine even (white of course, red for him, on top of the can of PBR he appears to have stashed in his pocket) and loudly assured her that he himself wasn't gay, of course, but it should be interesting, learning from and being open to other communities. One was tempted to look for cookie crumbs around his mouth, if you catch my drift.
The show itself was fabulous and I am so glad I went.
