First day of summer school means new kids. And so it is that I have discovered that just as I have grown utterly weary of repeatedly explaining my own complicated gender to strangers...now it falls to me to repeatedly explain my child's complicated gender to strangers.

(While I'm here, a small note that there was evidence this morning that a lot of it is about differentiation from her sister.)
