The household snuck out to the reception for the Center for Sex and Culture's "Doing Your Dirty Work" show. And while viewing that show (and specifically a work that recast The Origin of the World with a blow-up doll at the center), the exhibition notes delivered to me the word that I had been looking for last week to describe my writing.

I am not merely a reactive writer.

I am a retaliatory writer.
