Had a brief discussion with my father about the practical ethics of using rape kits on children and the thorny issue of retraumatizing victims. :/ (He was expressing his belated outraged frustration at the statement that "in the emergency room they have what’s called rape kits where a woman can get cleaned out.") These are the wages of having a state social worker parent, I guess.
