If I were posting later in the day, I would be finished with The Boy Detective Fails. I took a small break at the place it made me cry. As this is my Year of Deep Grief (and mild existential crisis)), for better or for worse, and as the book's thematic material is rather apropos, I got suckerpunched on page 283. It's fine. I also smiled.

So next week you might get a more considered reflection on the book. We'll see.
