Monday night:

Happy Hour! 5:30 pm (I will be there at 5:15), Ginger's Trois, 246 Kearney @ Bush, downtown San Francisco. Previous attendees will attest that the bartender is a gentleman (even his wink at me last time was gentlemanly) and he pours heavy, too.

I left out the part of the weekend where I intend to finish up a short story. I'd say "or two," but I'm trying to be realistic.

Speaking of turtlenecks, I used to think that sleeveless turtlenecks were mildly ridiculous. Now I understand their true purpose, and all is forgiven. I may giggle knowingly at anyone I see wearing one, though.

I am disappointed that none of you came up with recommendations on where to look for discounted Valentine's candy. Dove milk chocolate hearts! I must have them! I will make do if I must, but eggs are not the same!

Sure enough, at lunch today I saw two people in sleeveless turtlenecks, and a third in turtleneck plus cap sleeves. And I couldn't help but wonder.
