(no subject)
Sep. 6th, 2006 03:36 pmAnd now begins the project of making sure this feeling, this sense of
rightness, this mellowness, lasts.
Last week, I reconnected with my badass anthem. But I'm not so badass this
week. (No jokes about the topographic state of said ass, please.) You
still don't want to cross me. But I will smile beatifically while I eat
your liver and lights. It will be part of the universal harmony of being
if I choose to eat your liver and lights.
Anyway.
In other news:
* Oral surgery consult today. I like my oral surgeon even though he wants
to take my money and put Frankenstein studs into my jaw in return. He's
cheerful and down to earth and accessible, and he offers Valium and
Demerol, a combination I remember fondly from my teenage oral surgery
years.
* They want to schedule me right away. But I have money to raise and
naughty party plans to finalize first.
* Before the consult, I was put on the spot at the staff meeting. In a
good way -- award hand-off. I was introduced as having started the whole
efficiency process that we got an award for in the first place, by opening
my big mouth in a previous staff meeting. Not in quite those words, of
course. I don't think I deserved that credit, but there you are.
* Then I snuck out of the meeting early to have my teeth looked at. For
the second meeting in a row. Which is what caused me to miss the award
presentation last time and thus be put on the spot this time. I think next
time they should give me a statue of a tooth.

* My life is very busy and rich and full.
* I will be reading at the Queer Open Mic on Friday, because I promised.
This means
goodbadgirl and
justin42 better be there,
dammit. No, I have no idea what I'm reading. I'm open to suggestions.
* Ditto PPO on the 23rd (in regard to suggestions, not required attendance).
