1. Last week, I was feeling a little food shame. I have heard the line, "now you can eat whatever you want!", but it's not true, b/c not everybody knows I'm pregnant yet. And I was so hungry. I wanted seconds on everything. I wanted snacks, too, and seconds on snacks, and real breakfasts, and I just knew I looked like a fat girl pigging out. Usually, I *do* just eat whatever I want, and no shame. But this time...

2. As it happens, this is not an issue this week -- because the food moodiness and, this morning, the (mild) morning sickness has kicked in. Now, I am picky and a little queasy and put off by many things (cold cuts, for example), and I am having to haul myself through meals. Some things, fortunately, still sound really really yummy all the time! Mostly they are sweets or bland carbohydrates. Or Hawaiian BBQ. Yum, yum, macaroni salad and rice. And cherry Tootsie Pops are perfect for settling my stomach. Something sweet to suck on, yep. Shoulda bought a bag of them at Valentine's time. Oops.
