Still in Wisconsin

I'm too tired (happy, but tired) to write a full con report. Not really my style anyway. But I have a few spare minutes, I'm not yet ready to hit the hay, so where are some quick notes:
1) Was not felled by the Con Plague, but I did lose my voice to the cold I was fighting. So, of course, I had three panels to moderate.
2) Was captured on cell phone camera and misquoted by our not-so-friendly harasser. No skin off my ass, really, but I am very unhappy with the effects on some of my favorite people. Impressed a little, though, by the sheer stupidity of the harasser. Hello, pissing off a con full of computer geeks might not be your brightest move ever. Intend to make sure that at the very least, she never comes to this con again.
3) Especially since she was also the person who was such an asshole to me about the preliminary program schedule. It looks to me that she was planning to make an ass of herself from the beginning, and when we didn't provide the material she was looking for ("political panels," i.e. let's make-fun-of-Hillary-supporters), she went after the easy targets: fat people and queers.
4) My room smells like lilacs. That would be because of the lilacs on the desk, here.
5) Once again, impressed by the number of meat and live plant vendors at the farmer's market.
6) The panels I moderated seemed to go well. I am pleased.
7) I am now officially retired as WisCon Programming Co-Chair. I am the outgoing co-chair now :) Believe me, my successors will do a fine job as well.
8) Didn't buy so many books this year. And nothing at the auction. That's OK.
9) I did buy expensive new shoes on Sunday. Sunday morning, I woke up with aching feet and knees, and I knew my current shoes would not last me until Tuesday. So I went to the fancy shoe store, and I fell in love with a pair of Wolkys. I had a nice chat with the saleswoman about my wonky foot needs, and she agreed that this pair should serve me well. The only problem? They lace. That should be exciting in a few months...
