Just about everything I might have to say publicly about the aftermath of Proposition 8 passing, and specifically the racial scapegoating going on, is said better here by slit. This is a tremendously thoughtful and useful post. Check it out.

Also: we've voted away people's civil rights before. It's happened. It's awful, but it's not some shiny new precedent.
