Feb. 12th, 2009 11:35 am1. I am suddenly seriously considering collage (again), and wishing I was better at drawing, technically speaking. Not that that's going to stop me.
2. I am also filled with a craving for more ink. I have several solid ideas.
3. I may have accidentally given birth to a high fantasy heroine. April's eyes are now a striking shade of gray, and her hair appears to be coming in on the bronzed end of the brown-to-red continuum. Hello Red Sonja. Am now having fantasies about the scene where our broadsword-toting heroine is humiliated when her parents break out the baby photo album to show off to her prom date.
4. I'm being weaned off my blood pressure meds -- the stuff I was put on at the tail end of my pregnancy and while in the hospital. I'm down to one pill a day, which is nice. However, I kind of miss one of the side effects of the beta blocker I was on (Labetalol). It very subtly reined in my anxiety, I think b/c it makes the heart beat more slowly -- no racing pulse. No panicky feeling. Nice. Gone :( Back to breathing exercises for me.
5. I ran across a phrase in someone's self-description that's been irritating me for a few days: they said that they're a good cook as in more than "just dinner." What, I say, is wrong with 'just' dinner? It's fine to aspire to special food for special occasions, but no need to put down the noble art of feeding oneself from scratch every day in the process.
