Apr. 25th, 2011 04:19 pmI had a great time on Sunday at a certain two-year-old's birthday party. It was hastily rearranged due to weather to be at the birthday girl's house instead of in Dolores Park, so I am sorry I missed all my friends, but it made the party proper that much more fun because I could more or less let the girls run loose around the house.
April ate what must have been a whole melon's worth of watermelon wedges during the course of the party. She also insisted on blowing out a candle herself. Simone, meanwhile, opened one of the guest of honor's presents because isn't that what you do with presents? At least she didn't insist on taking it home.
I also got to socialize with adults for a bit, which was nice. And eat delicious cake plus lots of picnic food that never ended up at the picnic.
It was a very kid-centric yet adult weekend; Saturday I attended a dim sum baby shower and swapped pregnancy horror stories with the other guests. (My pregnancy wasn't all that horrific. Promise.) That was a lot of fun, too.
