The rest of yesterday
Jul. 6th, 2012 10:23 am1. Hit up Ice Cream Bar. It's a good thing I don't live in Cole Valley or I might be there every day, testing out each of those little soda elixirs. The kids, meanwhile, enjoyed riding the high bar stools entirely too much. The ice cream was pretty good too.
2. Went to see Plantosaurus Rex at the Conservatory of Flowers. The exhibit was a perfect mix of interest for both adults and children -- kids could push the buttons and make the dinosaurs roar (or, in one case, a volcano rumble), and adults could go "cool, cycads and ginkgo and ferns and horsetails!" Also there are two live turtles in the pond, pretending to be rock stars.
3. The carousel at Golden Gate Park is so huge, it can accommodate an entire summer school crowd on one go, with plenty of room to spare.
