Local Infamy Ahoy

So, uh, I made Oakland Local today with a post called "An Open Letter In Response to Some Responses to George Zimmerman’s Acquittal." Those of you on Facebook might have already seen this.

Also of interest: "How Do I Explain the Martin Verdict to My Kids?", which we have also been discussing on Facebook. Let me tell you, though, "how do you explain the Martin Verdict to four-year-olds to whom you've just had to explain that sharks will not come out of the water and eat them at the aquarium" is an even tougher question.

April is currently forcibly cross-dressing her dinosaurs. No, really. She was careful to tell me that *she* knows that boys can wear dresses if they want to, but this dinosaur was being made to wear a dress by his mommy when he didn't want to.
