So folks have naturally been asking what my forthcoming book is about. My standard reply is that I need to find a pithier way to say "it's a sex worker road trip UFO conspiracy story about the biology of sex." Because that's a mouthful, I'll tell you what.

And now I think I need to say "it's a hard science fiction sex worker road trip UFO conspiracy story about the biology of sex." Because that link? That's exactly what the science part is about. I kinda want to paste a clipping in on the front covers of all the copies soon to be printed.

change is afoot

Simone asked to put on a dress today. I let her pick it out of the closet. I think this is for pretend play purposes, but still. A big step. Leggings (legwarmers), too -- previously she had complained she hated leggings. I had hints it might be coming (she asked if she could be the first to wear a mermaid dress I bought for April a few months ago), but still.

Now we'll just see if April will ever start wearing pants again.
