2. Usually I dislike battlefield descriptions. This one was kinda cool, though.

1. "Community Celebration" at the kids's school yesterday. Confession: I kind of like potlucks. Also, school assembly-style events are more fun in the late morning, on the lawn, than they are in the evening, in a gymnasium. (We don't have a gymnasium.)

2. April was confirmed as the kid with the second-most laps at the Walkathon. She is disappointed. She wanted to be first. I promised next year we would pack lunch so she wouldn't have to quit due to hunger.

3. I think the 5K in the spring is a go, then.
