I am sorry that I missed Ladyfest in its entirety, but it was just too poorly timed for my overstuffed schedule. Best wishes to everyone who was performing and/or speaking.

Instead, I spent the weekend attending organizational meetings. I managed to squeeze in a screening of Hellboy at G.'s as well. Any review of critique of said movie would reveal my secret history as a former comic book fan and overeducated-in-general geek, so I'm going to refrain.

Tonight's dinner theme is, "What if the Vikings had invaded Spain?" -- Marcona almonds, olives, bread, Salchichon de Vic sausage, figs wrapped in serrano ham...and havarti cheese. If only we had some of the herring left :)

I find that this sort of dinner, little high-quality low-effort nibbles, is very nice for when I am on deadline. Especially as I had pizza last night. Must remember this for the next few months, as my freelance commitments and day job will overlap for a while as I phase some of the former out.

I bought a weekly planner, too.

My dear, this is slightly less secret than the Templars fleeing to Scotland, Roswell, and James Tiptree Jr.'s gender.

But we love you for it.

Well, the overeducated geek part is not very secret, conceded.

The depraved depths of my comic fandom, on the other hand...lots of people know I used to read comics, but few know the true extent of my addiction.
