Before she got laid off (no pun intended), Sherilyn and I tossed around the idea of going to the AVN Awards convention in Vegas in January. We figured if the convention was disappointing, we'd still be in Vegas with plenty of other things to do. (*cough*startrektheexperience*cough*)

As a mere member of the general public, I think I would be limited to the trade show only, which I'm conflicted about. Lots of men. Horny men. Which may overwhelm me. ('cause, you know, I have issues.) On the other hand, lots of women. Maybe lots of scantily clad women...

Clearly, in order to deal with the backlog (and I do mean backlog -- for those of you who haven't heard, the last round of nominations meant that there was enough porn in our house so that, if Lori and I watched it, without fast forwarding, for 24 hours every day from the moment it arrived until the moment the votes were due, we still wouldn't have finished) you need to either
a) Go with the "Ozymandias-in-Watchmen" wall-of-porn, with all screens running at once, or...
b) Get volunteers to be PornoElves, to help with the watching and pre-screening. Somewhat like slush-pile interns.

c) Does it stand out?
Now, a) can be a hard sell, b) can be a hard sell for a film-geek, but after seeing 15-20 movies, c) becomes much easier to judge. ;)
I doubt you'd be too underqualified. Willingness to learn and watch a lot of anatomy are prime qualifiers.

Willingness to learn and watch a lot of anatomy are prime qualifiers.
Those are two things I can definitely do. :)
