All Weekends Should Be Like This.
Jun. 10th, 2003 12:35 amI had a wonderful weekend. Saturday I went to a party, stayed for six hours, and garnered two more party invitations for this month. (Naughty people, this was just a barbecue-and-drinks party. With a lot of people I just saw at Wiscon. Apparently I have surprised many folks by suddenly revealing that yes, I do live in the Bay Area. Here I am! And it looks like I'm staying!)
Sunday I went to Where The Wild Things Are at the Metreon with
dryadgrl and kid and lunch-date boy ;). I think I may have regressed a little. I blame the hot dogs. It's too bad my sister, who is visiting in two weeks, is probably too old for this place. (Are you ever too old to make a monster's eyebrow wiggle?) Well, I can always ask her.
And today, to round things off, I finished a chapter, and got a bit of writing in on another story as well. Neither of these are the sorts of things I *should* be working on (i.e. are intended for pending calls for submission). So call it "creative procrastination."
In ther news, my kitty has the sniffles. I think I'm going to have to call the vet tomorrow, because she's been retching, too (we thought it was hairballs at first). But other than sleeping a little more than usual today, she seems fine -- still getting into trouble, no sign of pain in the abdomen or elsewhere, still eating and drinking normally. I haven't taken her temperature, because...well...you try to stick a thermometer up this particular cat's bum. That's what professional animal technicians are *for*.
