omnibus update
Apr. 7th, 2005 10:16 amWe all know why you really read this thing, and we all know what topics you're really slavering to read about. So here you go, all the goodies in one convenient place.
Food:
I plan to make stock this weekend. I also plan to cajole a certain someone into making a batch of pizza dough.
If I am feeling ambitious, I will whip up some flatbread dough myself, to eat with sauteed spinach and ricotta salata. Mmm, mmm.
I also intend to procure and devour some little fishies, anchovies or sardines, now that they're apparently in season. To fry? To stuff? To eat on a bun with tahini sauce? Decisions.
On Monday, I took the first snap peas of the season, and I stir-fried them with shrimp. Draped it all in a rather tasty improvised orange sauce. Forgot to add zest. Will remember next time.
Writing:
I'm not doing any at the moment. Last thing i did was for the Commie Pinko Short Story Contest. As mentioned previously, I plan on finishing Can't Stop Won't Stop and then taking a research book and a notebook and wander around writing sketches and notes on a bigger project for a while. I am only a few pages from the end, so I expect to start next week.
I still can't think of anything to write for the fundamentalism CFS, and so may just skip it. It'll surely be a wonderful book without me.
Gonna poke through reprint possibilities for the Disinformation book. Maybe I'll be inspired to write something new, too, who knows.
Sex:
It's probably not appropriate to post in public all the snarky things we had to say about a certain top-with-too-much-attitude at the CBT class at Madame S last night. For one thing, it would be a whole 'nother post in itself. Steven was the stunt bottom, and as usual he did a fine job.
And I helped.
Ok, maybe a little: how about the part where Top With Attitude was giving Steven and Midori (the instructor) the evil eye because their interaction was apparently too easygoing and non-deferential? Oh, and that's just a taste. it got better. Maybe better's not the right word.
Don't get me wrong. It was a fun class. But that was despite the students, not because of them, alas. (Nice tranny and partner excepted, even if she did request the one thing that Steven was hoping to skip this time. Heh.)
And I learned a new tie! Who shall I try it out on?

Date: 2005-04-07 07:53 pm (UTC)To give you an example of the sort of stuff we pull on each other, she brought bunny ears to one demonstration to "relax" me. I had the opportunity to grab one of those hotel note-pads before the demo, and wrote things like "OWWWW!", "#)$(*@$*(^#$", "Help!", and the like on them, and held them up to the audience at appropriate moments.
As I say, we do ham well together.
