Update-o-Rama Part 2: Friday Night

pantryslutFriday Night I went to the Exiles presentation on "Brutal Affection: Punching, Slapping, Kicking" by Felice Shays.
I liked that she called this (consensual) violence, b/c I am very against the rhetoric that defines s/m in contrast with violence (i.e. "it's s/m, not violence," with the implication that this makes it OK. Permission by definition).
Shays is a very dynamic presenter, and I recommend catching her stuff if you can. I also liked her many-page handout, for I am geeky that way. She's also very good at getting the imaginative juices flowing. Yup. This is definitely my kink, let's just put it that way.
Other people attending seemed to appreciate the fact that she was a femme top (switch, actually), and not a glammed-up high femme either, but a gal in jeans and stiletto boots. I have never wished as hard to be able to walk in stiletto boots as the moment when she ever-so-lovingly ground the heel of her boot into the inner thigh of her volunteer from the audience.
