The weekend was so lovely, I don't know where to start.

Maybe by mentioning that we ran into a certain magenta-haired acquaintance while on our little hideaway. I guess we weren't as hidden as it felt.

I should also say that we did not find Legume World and thus may have to make a return trip someday.

And I must not forget the elephant seals.

I am so glad the weather has turned, and I want to go on a picnic soon.

A friend told me there's a farm stand in Pescadero (a little down the coast from SF, more or less where I spent the weekend) that sells a zillion different kinds of dried beans, among other things. She couldn't remember its name, so she referred to it as "Legume World."

Yes, we did go to Duarte's, and G. almost fainted from the goodness of the pie. I don't think either of us had soup, though.

Did you get the pronounciation lesson? Much as I love Duarte's pies, I *always* get their soup. Either the green pepper, or the asparagus - or the cioppino if they have it.

I almost had the cioppino. I figure there will be other chances, presuming I go back to look for Legume World.

You know where you turn left to get to Duarte's front door? Don't take that left. Just continue down the road and around a couple of bends, and Legume World will be on your right.
