I really enjoyed her latest album probably because I saw her perform the whole thing live with the SF Orchestra before the album came out. I can definitely see how the album would be taken as not as strong on it's own.
I enjoyed both the Canadian project and the Tony Bennett project, actually. A whole lot more than her "Summerfling" album, at least, and most of her earlier material as well. I think she's oddly on the upswing in terms of making good choices of material and such. I like her ambition. And I like her voice. She's a great interpreter.
