So now I just need to remind myself that I am not an overdramatic putz for making space for my less-than-shiny emotions, and for asking for help when it wasn't a crisis. As in, yes, I had a right to feel blue about the situation, etc.

You are not overdramatic for making space for your real feelings, and for asking for help when it's not a crisis. And you have every right to feel what you feel, whatever that is, including feeling blue about whatever you're feeling blue about.
