1. Friday night at QOM I was called "old school." Huh. How did that happen?

2. The Mint was too packed to bother with karaoke, but hanging out afterwards was almost as much fun. except for the upset stomach.

3. Monday Night in Westerbork, bearsir's one-person show, is just incredible. If you get a chance, you should go see it. It was incredibly moving, well-written, well-performed, resonant, important. I am so goddamn *proud* of my friend.

4. I figured out the term to address my perennial "I am not really a Jew" problem: I am a fellow traveler.

5. I am not on the bookshelves. I'll cope.

6. Cheese and good company: always a good thing.

7. That was the best game I have ever seen Serena Williams play. I hope she keeps it up, because that was also the hottest mismatch I have ever seen. It should have been boring, the way Williams took charge and never let up from the beginning until the end. It was anything but.

8. The squash soup tasted like pie innards to me. Not that this is a bad thing necessarily.

9. Emotionally, a bit of a roller coaster. I seem to be on the uphill at the moment.

10. I am so exhausted today.
