I just want to say that I ate no food at the Dia de los Muertos festival in Fruitvale. Though it was only because it was too cold to warrant a bag of sliced fruit, and I couldn't find a place that was selling those ears of corn with mayo and cheese and chili on them. I miss those so much -- I was so disappointed to discover that the Mission, unlike the west side of Chicago, does not have mobile corn carts (though Chicago does not have the ice cream carts with their delicious fruit bars). I wonder if Fruitvale does, though? This will require some investigation at a later date.
