I was in Palo Alto for a good chunk of the afternoon yesterday, with time to kill. I don't think I've spent that much solid time in that town since before I moved to California. Strangely enough, I found myself right smack in the middle of the same neighborhood I stayed in during my very first trip to the Bay Area, over a decade ago. In fact, I startled myself by walking by the place I had dim sum at for the first time. It's a little take-out joint called Cho's. Still there, still getting good reviews, judging from the clips posted in the window, still a bargain too. Too bad I was too full from a very large lunch to actually try anything. Maybe next time.

Cho's still has some of the best pot stickers on the planet, and the owner is still incredibly rude. You can get their stuff frozen, you know.

I didn't find him rude, but then again I may have different standards for that sort of thing.

He isn't always rude, but he can be. I've seen him be perfectly reasonable if curt, and also be a real asshole.
